OOM: with this ring I thee wed

Amid the trees and rocks and shorelines, a space has been cleared by the lake for a white canopy. A bunch of chairs have been set up in a split semicircle underneath, an aisle down the middle formed by a trailing white carpet.

The place is lit by flickering tea candles, in silvery lanterns, and small bouquets of flowers and silk ribbons. It’s a chill night, the wind shivery and icy, but underneath the canopy the air is warm and relaxing—almost as if by magic.

Outside, the sunset glows on the horizon as the stars begin to glitter in the east.





[ooc: Wedding post! Entire post Millitimed to seven o'clock tonight, and slowtime definitely possible.

Edit, 2:10 p.m.--important!: We're currently waiting on Faith-mun to begin the ceremony, so in the meantime, if everybody wants to head on over to the reception thread, you're all welcome there...]

It looks like the young doctor managed to find some clothes. (Bar did come up with the top hat and cane but he felt that was a tad too far).

He approaches, fidgets and looks around.

Naraht wanders up. He is doing his best to supress some giggles. The wedding scene from The Princess Bride keeps going through his head, and the temptation to say "Mahwage. Mahwage is wat bwings us togethaw today..." is great.

Barry arrives a bit ahead of Sara. Takes him a lot less time to get ready, even without his speed. He is in the tuxedo Sara got for him all those months ago, the tux he wore the first time they danced.

Ray came within a micron of a potentially embarrassing situation today. The last time he attended a wedding, there was a kilt involved. Fortunately he remembered this before asking Bar about wedding clothes, and instead has been dressed in something rather more Brooks Brothers.

And there's a tree. Or more specifically a proud young Ash tree named Maple. She's in a blue glazed bowl in the lap of someone a little less defined. For Catherine, a set of happy parents holds the glazed bowl, for Hank it's a simple woman in a cloak...

For others? Who knows. Wish was invited, and here Wish is, sitting out of the crowd, quietly watching. And if the air seems to shimmer a little brighter than before, if lights sparkle brighter well...it's a wedding after all. It should seem magical.

Her legs still aren't up to much, and belatedly she wished she'd asked Hank for a cane before he bounced out ofthe infirmary...but little brothers worked just as well for such it seemed. It had taken a while to get out her admittedly, but Billy hadn't seemed to mind her frequent pauses, or the fact that most her weight rested on his slim shoulders a portion of the trip.

True to her word she's not in a dress, but in lovely emerald silk from neck to knee. It even covers a great deal of the bandages left. She knows she's suppose tosit somewhere near the front, despite her desire to sink into the nearest chair, so her smile may be a little fixed, a little strained as she and Billy keep moving.

Goldy is naturally in attendance, on the groom's side, decked out in what is rapidly becoming her formal dress, underneath a tan leather trenchcoat. She gives Hank a nod and a warm reassuring smile as she takes her seat shortly before the ceremony begins. She wouldn't miss this.
